Christmas FAQs

Can my child bring in Christmas cards to give out?

Yes, As long as there are enough cards for everyone in class and that envelopes are blank to allow easy distribution, with just a 'from' message inside.

Can my child bring in Christmas gifts for staff.

No. While we appreciate the thought, we do not accept Christmas gifts. A Christmas card or a simple 'thanks' or email would be very appreciated instead if wanted to.

Does my child need to wear non-uniform on party day.

No, children wear school uniform everyday. Your child will still have lots of fun on party day and will make items to wear or use on party day in school.

Do I need to provide party food on Christmas party day?

No, our wonderful PTA provide party food for all children in school.

Birthday FAQs

Can my child bring in birthday invitations to give out?

Yes, As long as there are enough invitations for everyone in class and that envelopes are blank to allow easy distribution.

Can my child bring in birthday cake to share in class.

No. While it is a nice thought, we do not give out cake from home. Birthdays are celebrated in school and all children have their birthday marked in assembly and in class.

Event FAQs

Can I donate items to for the school fairs?

Yes. Donations of items for prizes are alway appreciated by the PTA. We will communicate directly with you via email about this. Donated items should be dropped off in line with the information sent and not sent in with your child. This will usually involve a donation box in the school foyer.

Does my child need to wear non-uniform on event days, such as Children in Need?

No, children wear school uniform everyday. We mark event days in school in other ways and your child will still have lots of fun. Parents are able to donate to a charity linked to these days via our payment system.

Communication FAQs

What should I do if I have information to pass on?

Our office should be your first contact. Quick messages can be passed on to staff at drop off, but please speak to the office with in person, on the phone or for less pressing information, by email.

How will I receive the information I need from school?

We have 2 primary means of communication with parents. Emails and 'The Station Voice', our online newsletter. It is important that you read all emails from school as they will contain important information.
