Mexico

This half term Sycamore class have been working for Portal travel..  They have been looking at Mexico as a country and a travel destination for holidaymakers.  In English they produced a persuasive letter which outlined all the reasons for going to Mexico on holiday.  I must admit they did make me feel like booking up!  The Day of the Dead is a popular Mexican festival celebrated across Mexico.  The children created a Day of the Dead skull which they decorated with intricate designs.

In geography they looked at the different regions in Mexico and compared these to the North East of England.  They also looked at the differences in climate and weather.  In maths they have been consolidating their understanding of the four operations and using written methods to solve problems.
