Let's go through the portal!
This half term we have been working for Station Studios. Our first task was to find out about the skeletons of humans and animals for a programme called ‘Brilliant Bodies’. We learned about how animals and humans have different skeletons, why we have them and what the names of the bones are. We also drew pictures of skeletons using black paper and chalk. Our next task was to research South America for a programme in a series called ‘Need to know – the facts’ all about America. First we plotted the countries on a map and then looked at their culture and what it was like to live there. We composed an interview with a local Brazilian man called Carlos and he told us lots of facts about South America which we then wrote up. During the half term we also did lots of work in maths on measuring and problem solving. In English as well as writing an interview we read lots of books by the author Dick King Smith and re-worked his story ‘The Sheep Pig’.
