New Town Planners
This half term we have been working for Portal City Planners on the New Town Project. Our job has been to research our local area and find out what is important for a town. We have carried out surveys, recorded our results and presented our data. We then analysed this to help us plan a new town.
We have been learning about data and time in maths and have used our knowledge to help with the New Town Project.
In English we have been learning about comics and persuasive letter writing. We studied a range of comics and used these to help us plan and create our own comic strips. We have also looked at line drawings and artwork by Roy Litchenstein and used this to help us create comic illustrations.
Throughout the half term we have been learning about Scotland. This has included research, finding out about landmarks and landscape and using maps to understand locations. We have used our improved geography skills and map skills to help us plan our new town.
